Keeping Your Soul Inspired was written for the times I attempted to do something and failed or came up short. The hurt and disappointments that either I experienced or witnessed. The financial strains and times when I wondered how the ends would meet. But none of that negated all of the victories, love and witnessing other’s successes.

I am not a minister. But I have the upmost respect for those who have been called to preach and teach about God’s Word. I am not a life coach. But I admire those who have formal training and are qualified to counsel on career and personal challenges. I am not a person who has it all together. My smiles may indicate otherwise. But I fail daily and struggle to deal with this ever changing, unpredictable world. I am a girl that is a hopeless romantic, believes in fairy tales and happy endings. I am a girl that chooses to be positive because it’s the one thing that I can control. I am a girl that refuses to carry any type of baggage that keeps me from traveling in peace. I am a girl that loves God and is not ashamed to let others know of His goodness; by helping, witnessing and inspiring them to be greater.

I use my faith to fight my fears. As I have come to understand, it’s hard to realize the breakthrough without first recognizing the breakdown. Time is precious and not promised. You don’t gain more of it, by wasting it worrying about what others think of you. Spend it working on what God wants you to be instead. Reclaim control of your thoughts by what shows up in your actions. There will be times, when there is turmoil, disappointment, confusion, last minute gotchas, schedules gone awry and other situations. That can wreak havoc on your perfectly planned script. But that's when you have to make sure your Faith has not been relegated to a supporting role. It has to be the lead at all times. While the scenes may change and the cast may vary, Faith will provide the necessary edits, corrections and directions to help you deal with life at any given moment. If you let it be the center of attraction, it will center you and restore the role that God intended on you having.

My faith provides the fuel I depend on to sustain whatever bumps and bruises I experience along the way. It took me some time, but I am now walking in my purpose. God's purpose. My Story....His Glory

The book, Inspirations for the Soul from the Sole, is based on more than three years of running, soul searching and optimism. The compilation of affirmations in Inspirations for the Soul from the Sole comes from Robertson’s own life. “Like many of you, I have been faced with different challenges. At times, these circumstances left me confused, unsure and sometimes angry over my options and decisions. I have always been pretty optimistic and even idealistic about life, but noticed negativity began to permeate into my spirit. Sometimes my world felt unsteady and out of balance. As a Christian, this was very difficult for me to comprehend. How do you take the love of God everywhere with you and still feel this way? I continued to be prayerful but that did not lessen my trepidation.” Robertson explains how running changed her life. “As I wrestled with different challenges, running provided an outlet and even a temporary escape. I joined a running group, which provided me support, camaraderie and fun while pushing me to become a better runner. But it was the times when I ran by myself that played a part in healing my soul.”
